Phillip Bolt

Phillip Walker Bolt, 67, of Buchanan, Va., passed away on Thursday evening, November 24, 2011. Phillip was a United States Army veteran serving during Viet Nam; a Deacon, Trustee, and Choir Member of Cedar Bluff Baptist Church; a member of the Botetourt County Chorus; and had retired from Singer Furniture after 35 years service. He enjoyed computers, hunting, and was an all-around sports fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walker Wells and Helen Fink Bolt; brother, James Mack Bolt; and mother-in-law, Josephine Walker. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Faye Walker Bolt; daughter and son-in-law, Deedi Bolt and Paul Trabosh, of Richmond; grandson, Nicholas Walker Trabosh; sister, Linda Bolt West, of Salem; brother and sister-in- law, Dennis Wayne and Carol Bolt, of Richmond; sister-in- law, Cheryl Bolt, of Pilot; father-in-law, Ellis Walker, of Buchanan; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his faithful dog, Lexie. Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 27, 2011, in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with the Rev. Kelly Dampeer officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Buchanan. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the League of Animal Protection, P.O. Box 561, Fincastle, VA 24090 or to the Botetourt County Chorus, P.O. Box 1081, Buchanan, VA 24066.
