Jayne Cox Terry, 68, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2014.Jayne was born on June 27, 1946, in Radford to the late Thomas M. and Louise Cox of Roanoke. She grew up in Roanoke and graduated from Patrick Henry High School in the Class of 1964. She is survived by husband, W. Ruben Terry of Roanoke; son, William "Bill" and wife, Amy G. Terry, and their daughter, Madeline Leigh "Maddie" of Roanoke; sister, Amy C. Moore and brother-in-law, Douglas E. Moore, of Roanoke, and nephew, Thomas Mitchell Moore of Blacksburg; brother, Thomas M. Cox Jr. of Richmond, and niece, Kendall Cox of Harrisonburg, and nephew, Steven Cox of Washington, D.C.; and sister-in-law, Nancy S. Cox of Richmond. Jayne loved spending time with her family and her dear friends as well as shopping trips, holiday festivities, and cooking. Jayne had a special fondness for children. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Ellie Schleyer Research Fund to support the grandchild of a special family friend or to the Carilion Roanoke Memorial NICU Fund to support the work of the wonderful staff who healed her granddaughter. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, October 31, 2014, at Oakey's South Chapel with the Rev. Bob Fiedler and the Rev. Dusty Fiedler officiating.
